Rob Wolkers Product Development issued the new CSWA-AM certification by SolidWorks about Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing.

We are honored our entry has won the third prize in the SolidWorks and Mako Boardsports jetboard travelcase designcontest.
The concaved triangular kevlar/carbonfiber shape provides maximum strength and stiffness to protect the jetboard from impact from all sides. The symmetric design ensures a very cost efficient single mold production. Saltwater-proof materials and smart details like Goretex vents, Aerocatch locks and integrated roofrack strap tunnels make it a durable and quality product.

The highly innovative Avion Airbus A320 full flight motion simulator has been qualified by EASA for level-D operations, the highest level of FFS (Full Flight Simulation) qualification available.

Our Avion A320 flight simulator design will be the showcase model for a Virtual Reality demonstration at the 'Design in the age of experience' conference organised by Dassault Systemes. Put on the VR glasses and experience a walk around and into the flight simulator with this great new 3D design and evaluation tool.

Rob Wolkers Product Development issued the new Advanced Drawing Tools Certification (CSWP-DRWT) about the principles of the 2D drawing tools and functionality found in the SolidWorks drawing environment.

Extended capabilities and a more efficient workflow thanks to two new 3D CAD software packages:
-SolidWorks Premium upgrade: stress, strenght and stiffnes simulation with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and easy import and processing of 3D scanned data.
-Power Surfacing: quick concept modeling and powerful freeform surfacing within the engineering environment.

A very pleasant surprise at the Good Industrial Design award show at the Dutch Design Week: the eeeeFUN scooter won one of the exclusive Special Awards for Excellence - the originality category! We feel very honoured and this award is a big compliment for the whole team who put a lot of time, effort and passion into the design and development of the scooter.

The second design award for the eeeeFUN electric scooter: the Dutch Good Industrial Design Award
The independent jury felt that the scooter satisfied all the GIO criteria, and therefore received the predicate Good Industrial Design 2012.

Rob Wolkers and eeeeFUN Company convinced the international expert jury of the Red Dot Award Product Design 2012. After an evaluation process lasting several days, it received one of the coveted awards, assigned by a 30-member expert jury. Creative heads and manufacturers from all over the world had submitted 4,515 designs altogether to the renowned product competition. With its high design quality, the eeeeFUN electric scooter could inspire the experts. It received the globally sought-after red dot for its fine design language in the vehicle & transportation category:
"Individuality, eco-friendliness, smart details – this electric scooter features all desirable attributes of a contemporary two-wheeler for a younger target group. The jury likewise found the scooter’s LED illumination concept to be convincing."

Rob Wolkers Product Development issued the brand new Sustainable Design Certification (CSDA) by SolidWorks about the principles of environmental assessment and sustainable design.

It was one of the many highlights at SolidWorks World 2010 in California: the announcement of the SolidWorks Expert Certification.
It's a new top level exam for Certified Professionals (with at least three advanced certifications) only. At this time, only 75 people worldwide are qualified to take the exam. Rob has successfully passed the CSWE exam and is the first SolidWorks user worldwide with the exclusive SolidWorks Expert Certification

Two brand new certifications by SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and both issued: Advanced Mold Tools and Weldments Functionality

Another CSWP certification: Rob Wolkers Product Development has successfully passed the CSWP-STML exam and is now a Certified SolidWorks Advanced Sheet Metal Specialist too.

The designcontest prizes have arrived!
SolidWorks Corporation shipped two very big boxes full of MegaBrands toys. They have been donated to the Ronald McDonald house in The Hague. As many families travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children, Ronald McDonald Houses offer families a way to stay together in proximity to the treatment hospital.

Next to the CSWA and CSWP-CORE certification exams, Rob Wolkers Product Development has successfully passed the CSWP-SURF exams and is now a Certified SolidWorks Advanced Surfacing Specialist too.

At SolidWorks World 2009 in Orlando, the winner of the Mega Brands iCoaster designcontest was announced. Rob won the Grand Prize in this contest with no less than three new exciting stunt ideas for the Mega Brands iCoaster toy series. The jury: "It was an easy decision based on the modeling, animations, and the thought put into the submission."

The coolest business card in town: laser cutted and engraved stainless steel with three handy breakaway wrenches, metric sizes 5 to 10.

Next to the CSWP certification, Rob Wolkers Product Development has successfully passed the CSWA exam and is now a Certified SolidWorks Associate too.

Rob's Elementz was the main presentation model at the international SolidWorks World 2009 event in Orlando, Florida. With previews into the future of SolidWorks, speakers like Richard Branson, 4500 highly motivated attendees, numerous of workshops and presentations it definitely was a week full of inspiration. After winning the Dutch designcontest, the Elementz strikes again! At the third day of the SolidWorks World '08 conference in San Diego, the winners of this year's designcontest were announced. An updated and refreshed model of the Elementz won the first prize in this international contest.

After two exciting election rounds with almost 60 designs, the Elementz was chosen by both the professional jury and the public to be the grand winner of the Dutch designcontest. From now on you may find Rob conquering the roads in his vintage roadster. Thank you Burton Car Company and SolidWorks Holland for this fantastic prize, and a very special thanks to those who voted for the Elementz!

After being nominated for the complex shapes category at the international SolidWorks designcontest 2005, Rob took away the first prize in this category with his model of the G/TRAX next gen automotive project.
